Non-Applet Java

Java applets are restricted by security protocols implicit in the applet definition. No local file access is allowed and therefore applets are not currently able to function as normal C/Pascal/Basic applications. Data can only be retrieved from the loading HTML page and can only be sent back to the one server that downloaded the applet to the current browser.

Java applications are NOT security restricted but cannot be run across the net. You MUST have a local Java interpreter to run non-applet Java, even if your browser is Java enabled.

OES is a demonstration frame app with no functionality.
